We have volunteer roles in companionship, sport, administration and much more!We are always looking for volunteers to come and join our team, so we'd love to hear from you!Are you a friendly and sociable person that can encourage children ages 0-18 to participate in a range of sports and recreational activities aligned with our physiotherapy programmes?We’re looking for friendly, active volunteers to join our Allied Health team in Rockhampton. About the programme:The Sports Stars programme focuses on cardiovascular exercise including; catching, throwing kicking and batting while learning the basics of team sports.As the Kids Sports Stars Physiotherapy volunteer you will be:Assisting a physiotherapist to provide sports based activities to a small group (e.g. throwing balls to children or demonstrating a batting activity).Encouraging children to stay on task and engage with other children when participating in activities.Assisting to set up and pack away group physiotherapy sessions including cleaning of resources used. You will not be responsible for:Any personal support; e.g. personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.This volunteer opportunity would suit a person with experience and or interest/studying in physiotherapy who would like to support children with a disability.This volunteer role takes place at Rockhampton on every Thursday from February 7th 2019 until March 28th 2019. Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card.
