Does performing arts make you ‘screech’ with confidence and ‘squawk’ with excitement?We are currently looking for passionate lovers of drama to engage and encourage clients to participate in our Saturday Screech and Squawk workshops. If you are an excellent communicator and possess skills in occupational therapy, speech pathology or performance, this is the opportunity for you!Only have time on the weekend to give back? Perfect! We are looking for support every Saturday for 2 hours (10am-12pm).As the Screech Arts Assistant you will be:Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients.Participating in Screech and Squawk workshops alongside clients.Encouraging clients to engage with theatre and related arts by building confidence and experience in drama together.Assisting and contributing to the development of theatre productions and activities with the Screech Arts Facilitator.You will not be responsible for: Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.This volunteer role take place every Saturday from 10am-12pm, for a minimum of 12 months and will be based at Geebung. Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card.
