Would you like to share this joy with like minded theatre enthusiasts and assist people with a disability to realise their artistic goals?CPL’s Screech Arts Programme is looking for bright, fun, theatre lovers to assist the Screech Theatre Facilitator with drama workshops for children under the age of 18 at Aspley After School Club. If you have an interest in drama, and have either experience in or studying towards qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology we’d love to hear from you!About Screech Arts – Aspley After School ClubThis programme encourages students at Aspley Special School to build confidence and develop a range of skills including verbal and non-verbal skills, creative communication and improvisation techniques.Follow this link for more information about Screech Arts!As the Screech Arts Assistant, you will be:Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients.Participating in drama workshops, rehearsals and performances alongside clients.Assisting clients with use of communications devicesEncouraging clients to engage with theatre and related arts by building confidence and experience in drama together.Assisting and contributing to the development of theatre productions and activities with the Screech Theatre FacilitatorTo apply for this volunteer role, you will need to hold a current Blue Card.This volunteer role takes place at Aspley Special School from 3pm to 4pm every Tuesday, for a minimum of 12 months (Term time only). The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL.Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card.
