Are you a born and bred performer? Does performing arts make you ‘screech’ with confidence and excitement?
We are currently looking for passionate lovers of drama to engage and encourage clients to participate in our Tuesday morning workshops (9am - 11.30am) in Maryborough. If you are an excellent communicator and wish to share your passion in the performance arts, this is the opportunity for you!
As the Screech Arts Assistant you will be:
- Actively participating in the Tuesday workshops alongside the clients.
- Conducting friendly and professional encounters with clients.
- Encouraging clients to engage with the program content in a way that builds confidence and positive experience.
- Providing assistance with the delivery of the program activities.
- Assisting clients with the use of communication devices within a safe framework.
You will not be responsible for: Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.
This volunteer opportunity will take place every Tuesday from 9am - 11.30am for a minimum of 6 months and will be based at Maryborough.

Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card. CPL will assist you to apply for these cards which are free for volunteers.
