Take your love for literature to the next level and make connections with other bibliophiles in your community, join us as a volunteer today!If you’ve been looking for the opportunity to make time to read more, and you have a special interest in Romance literature, join us as a volunteer every week at a CPL client’s home in Hervey Bay and fall in love with your new volunteer opportunity today!As the social companion - reader you will be:Sharing your love of literature with clientsConducting friendly, professional encountersReading out loud to clients on a weekly basis, from books chosen by the clientEncouraging and engaging service users to pursue and develop their hobby/interestsThis volunteer opportunity will take place at a CPL client’s home in Hervey Bay on a weekday of your choice from either 10am to 11am or 2pm to 3pm. You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role.Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose with passion!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card. CPL will assist you to apply for these cards which are free for volunteer.All CPL volunteers and students on placement engaging alongside persons with a disability are required to provide CPL with a certificate of completion for the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, as requested by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
