Do you need a great excuse to spend an extra couple of hours outdoors every week?CPL's Labrador service, the Deck, is looking for a creative and passionate ‘green thumb’ to assist in maintaining their beautiful garden. Volunteer in our wonderful community space and help create an area filled with nature for clients to enjoy! If you’ve ‘outgrown’ your own garden, why not come and get your hands dirty in ours!As the Volunteer Gardener you will be:Maintaining the gardens including; trimming and weedingWatering the plant bedsPlanting and pottingClearing leaves and keep the garden looking greatConducting friendly and professional encounters with clients in the gardenYou will not be responsible for:Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.This volunteer role will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for 2 hours per day. You can choose whether you would like to volunteer on all, two of or just one of those days. The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL.You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role.Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card.
