Join us in this year’s biggest food fight and volunteer with our Oz Fresh Harvest programme at CPL Labrador’s service and support people with a disability to access fresh, healthy food!CPL’s Labrador service is looking for volunteers with a keen interest in food sustainability, and supporting the community to reduce food waste. Volunteering on either Tuesdays or Thursdays (or both!) from 1pm – 4pm, you will be supporting with the stocktake and distribution of Oz Harvest goods to clients of the Deck Hub. Follow this link to find out more about Oz Harvest and the work they do towards fighting food waste.Do your bit for the environment and take part in this amazing volunteer opportunity today!As the Volunteer Service Assistant you will be:Assisting with the stock take of consumables from Oz Fresh Harvest.Assisting with the unpacking, setup and distribution of goods to clients.Conducting friendly, professional encounters with clients.Assisting with other activities relating to the volunteer role where reasonable.You will not be responsible for:Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.This volunteer role will take place on Tuesday and Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm. The volunteer and CPL will regularly review this volunteer role based on the capacity of the volunteer to assist on an ongoing basis and the needs of CPL.You will be responsible for organising your transport to and from the location of this CPL role.Make a difference and support people with a disability to live the life they choose!Please note, at CPL all staff and volunteers must hold either a valid Blue Card with Yellow Card Exemption or a Yellow Card.
